Waugh Partners is committed to protecting your privacy while you participate in the Australian Open Source Industry & Community Census. Our goal is to provide accurate and valuable research to the community and industry while allowing you to control your privacy and give you a means to voice any questions or concerns you may have. This policy applies only to the Australian Open Source Industry & Community Census and not to other websites to which Waugh Partners is linked.
Collection of information
During the operation of the Census, we will collect the anonymous answers and feedback that form the bulk of the received Census data, and a small amount of personal or identifying information. For instance:
- Your name and email address are collected to verify that human effort is involved when responding to the Census. This distinguishes the validity of the Census data from that obtained by an online poll.
- Contact details such as phone number and street address are collected in the industry Census to verify company respondents against other public data (such as company websites or the phone directory).
At the completion of the data collection period, all Census response data will be removed from our web server.
Use of anonymous information
Waugh Partners will use the anonymous information for research activities, such as reporting on aspects of interest about the industry and community or making comparisons with other studies. Waugh Partners may publish the aggregate anonymous data or provide it to other organisations.
Use of personal or identifying information
Waugh Partners may disclose your personal information to third parties if required by law, or to provide a service you have requested. Otherwise, Waugh Partners will not publish or disclose personal or identifying information to any other organisation or person unless you have authorised us to do so.
Feedback & Complaints
Please contact Waugh Partners if you have any feedback or complaints about privacy issues related to the Census.
