The "Meet the Open Source Industry" Roadshow is over, and what a grand journey it was! The events were in every capital city in Australia from September 25th to October 11th 2007. We had over 210 people from all around Australia come along to meet and greet, including over 40 Open Source companies who participated!
The roadshow was promote the Australian Open Source Industry and Community Census 2007 project and strength of the Open Source industry in Australia.
The event covered both the economic and social opportunities Open Source can provide to Australia, including business, Government, individuals and education. A full recording of the event is available. Many thanks to Scott McKean from Epoch Labs who loaned us recording equipment, and to the Hobart audience for being recorded.
Below are the slides and links to all the companies that participated in the roadshow. They are in alphabetical order, and if you hover over a link of interest you'll see which city event the company participated in.

Participating Open Source companies
Our many thanks to all the people who assisted in making the event successful, to the sponsors of the Census who funded the roadtrip, and to all the attendees and companies who participated. It was a great achievement for us and for our industry and we look forward to seeing more industry events around the country, particularly as the Census results come out in February.
We also covered Open CeBIT, the Open Source expo and conference which is part of the larger CeBIT in Sydney every year. If anyone is interested in participating in Open CeBIT, please get in contact with us.
